Popop is trying to make sure Addalyn turns out to be a better cook than her momma!! She had fun cutting up everything except for the onions! After her eyes started burning Bma put her head in the freezer to help the burning!! Addalyn thought that was funny, later that day she hurt her finger and asked Bma to put it in the freezer to make it feel better too! haha!!

Trick or Treating at Popop and Bma's

We went to Fort Worth to Popop and Bma's house for trick or treating this year! It was so fun and it was the perfect little neighborhood for our new trick or treaters!! Barbie had a fire out in the drive way and we were able to mingle with their friendly neighbors! Popop went with Addalyn and thank goodness cause she started out shy and he helped her have a great time!!

So I was in Fort Worth for Halloween and had to find a cheerleader outfit at the last minute, so I went to Academy! I only had University of Texas or Cowboys to choose from and I knew either way I was in trouble! We live in Louisiana and it is the LAW that you are an LSU FAN and the SAINTS are the demanded team of choice!! So my excuse is that they had an outfit for Aiden to match in the Cowboys so I decided on the lesser of the two evils! haha!

Months ago Addalyn had a great idea that she would dress up as Little Red Riding Hood, Aiden would be the wolf, Adam would be the hunter, and i would be the Grandma for Halloween! So off I went trying to make it happen. Well October 30th came and Addalyn changed her mind and she decided she wanted to be a cheerleader, Aiden a football player, and dad the "wissel man"! So of course what Addalyn wants she gets so off I went AGAIN!! I just figured she was only 3 once and she only gets to trick or treat once a year!

We blessed Aiden October 25th while my mom and Bart where here! Adam's cousin's and their families; Chad, Donna, Morgan and Marley from Baton Rouge La, Jared and Jamie from Many La, and Brent, Tatiana, Colton, Courtney, from Fort Worth TX! It was so sweet! It was really special because we had so much family there! It was great to all be together and the kids had so much fun seeing each other!

Chelsea made Addalyn the cutest little TuTu's!! She loves to spin around in them!!

My mom and Bart came to visit Louisiana FINALLY!! We were so excited to see them and to show them around our life! We have tried and tried to tell Addalyn that Bart is her Grandpa but she insists on calling him "uncle bart", of course he should be flattered cause she thinks he is so young! Adam took Bart squirrel hunting and I took mom to visit all my friends and softball players! My mom also had fun spiking up Addalyn's sassy short hair cut! They also got to eat all of the fun and crazy things that Louisianians eat! Bart ate squirrel with squirrel gravy, Jill cooked; dirty rice and gumbo, then we went to eat; fried pickles, fried alligator, crawfish etoufee, and the best ever bread pudding. I am sure everyone is going to want to come visit us after hearing what we eat!! haha!!

This is a little late, but I wanted to update for all of you that dont know! My mom, with four kids (3 girls and 1 boy) married an awesome man, Bart and his 4 kids ( 3 boys and 1 girl)!! They are great!! I thought I was so lucky to have 3 siblings and now I am even more thrilled to have 7!! We have a great time together, I just wish I was closer so that we could have more time together!! The night they got married all of us kids went back to the house and played games and hung out as if we had been family forever!! I am so excited they found each other and that we have such a HUGE and FUN family!

First time to the movies!!

By far the best first movie for a first time to the movie theatre! Well this week I learned why I never want to be a single mother, and also how much I love and appreciate my wonderful husband!! I have to admit I thought I did everything!! Now that I have to do it by myself I know my husband is the best and he helps me out in more ways than I will ever know!! He went to Dallas to work with his brother selling roofs to make a little extra money!! We have FINALLY found a house we would love to buy and thought we would be in a better situation to buy it if he went!! Well in the mean time I have been practicing my momma skills, and WOW it is extremely hard to juggle: work, 2 kiddos, 18hrs of school, and attempting to keep a house together (and i am not doing the house thing very well)!! The great thing is that I have wonderful friends and family around to lighten my load! Addalyn and Aiden stay with Jill, Crystal, Cissy, Brooke, and Nola during the week while I do the lessons. THANK GOODNESS!!

Thursday I had a doctors appointment early in the morning and had lessons later on that evening so the three of us went to the movies!! It was a great idea and it is so fun!! It was Addalyn's first time in a theatre and she was glued to the screen!! The movie was so cute! It was a great movie for younger kids!! The story line was really easy for Addalyn to follow and even Aiden stayed awake and "watched" it too! He was so sweet!! He loves to be held so it was right down his alley!! So those of you that have little ones need to go!!

It is Zwolle Tamale Fiesta Time!! We went to Adam's old stompin grounds this last Saturday to get some famous Zwolle Tamales and also to watch the Mud Races! They call it "Mud Doggin" and EVERYONE in the town and the surrounding towns come out to watch these jacked up trucks drive as fast as they can through a field of MUD!! haha!! It sounds so funny, but is was actually really fun!! The picture is one of the trucks that we watched, they had to have a ladder to get up into it!! Here is the funniest story!! We told Addalyn we were going to watch the mud "DOGgin" races, so we get there and she watched really intently for about 15min until she finally turned around with a confused face and asked, "MOM, WHERE ARE THE DOGS??" She is so funny!! She was very dissappointed the were actually trucks not dogs!!

Sorry! For those of you that dont know, Tylen and Braylen are our nephew's, Luke and Crystals kiddos!! Luke is Adam's older brother and Crystal is our sister-in-law!! We are just so close I feel like everyone already knows them!! Crystal is 21 weeks pregnant with their 3rd and we are keeping our fingers crossed for a girl!! They were living in Lubbock and just moved to Louisiana! Thank goodnes cause we love spending time with them! Crystal and I are really close and our kids love being together!! Brandon, Adam's oldest brother is also moving to LA at the end of Novemeber so Adam will have plenty of company golfing and hunting this year and years to come!! Jill is so lucky to have all of her boys and grandchildren so close!!

This is our second family! Kelvin, Cissy, Caroline, and Colby Matthews!! Kelvin is "Uncle Kelvin" and Addalyn is "Addalyn Hope Burch Matthews"! Caroline is one of our Grandma pitchers!! I have given her pitching lessons since Addalyn was in my belly!! She is an AWESOME pitcher and we hope she will step up as a pitcher and leader for our High School team this year! Cissy is wonderful, she helps me out so much and watches the kiddos while Adam and I do lessons! We have made Mondays our day to hang out and eat Cissy's amazing cooking!! Addalyn takes her night time bath with Caroline and I am sure here in a few months Aiden will be in there with Colby!! Adam and Kelvin are workin buddies down at the softball field, Cissy is my example of the mother I would love to be, she tries really hard to help me be more organized (and if you know me that is hard work), Addalyn and Caroline are connected at the hip anytime possible(she would go to school with her if she could), and Colby already has plans to help potty train Aiden and teach him to play baseball and basketball!! I am so thankful to have such great kids for Addalyn and Aiden to learn from. We love this family and we love the time we are able to spend with them!

This is an amazing family that we have fell in love with! Brooke is so wonderful and she helps out with Addalyn during softball season (we will be adding Aiden to her work load this year)!! Adam and I have coached Bailey for 3 years now and she is amazing!! We started her on the Varsity High School softball team as a 5th grader, she is our shortstop and one of our pitchers, she did a wonderful job! I have never seen someone read a ball off of the bat so quickly!! Lisa is my softball loving buddy, we can stay on the phone for hours just talking softball! Lisa also keeps our score book and when Adam and I make it big in the college softball level and recruit Bailey we are going to hire Lisa as our life long bookkeeper!! Addalyn has named Beth "Beff" and she has the kindest heart the sweetest personality! She has played softball for us on and off and she is the hardest worker I have ever coached!! We love them and they are a huge part of our lives!! They came to the hospital the day I delivered Aiden, they are practically family!! It is so great to be surrounded with so many wonderful people!!

Okay! So I have been told that if you cut their hair while they are young their hair will grow out thicker!! Well I sure hope it helps cause this is too short for me!!

Addalyn got her hair cut on Tuesday September 29th! When the lady got finished and turned her around Addalyn said "I look like a boy"!! The hair dresser was mortified!! haha!! Either way Addalyn likes it okay, she loves that I dont put it up, I just blow dry and go!! She hates that she cant "flip it over"! She looks so cute though, it is so sassy!!

As you can tell in my last post, I did not write anything about Addalyn! This is because the way she has adjusted to a new little brother and to sharing the center of attention, she DESERVES a post of her own!! She has been nothing less than amazing and wonderful!! She has not had one little hint of jealousy! She loves to hold him, bathe him, change diapers, and absolutely everything else that a great big sister does!! She of course still demands her fair share of attention but she is still the best entertainment we have ever invested in!! haha!! Every time he fusses she informs me that "he just wants his big sister"!! Addalyn newest hobby is CHANGING CLOTHES, and she does it 12-15 times a day! She loves her dress up clothes that consists of Dorothy, Tinkerbell, and Cinderella! She also has decided that she can only wear "shorts", not Capri's SHORTS (cause that is what dad wears)! One day we called her shorts "daisy dukes" and now she tells us she has to wear "daisy DORKS" everyday! haha! Addalyn goes to softball with us everyday and she now can throw a fastball, change up, drop ball, and curve ball! The funny thing is that we don't really work with her, she just watches us teach all of the other girls and she really can spin the ball correctly for all of the pitches!! She is amazing!! She also watches the hitting lessons and of course has to hit also, she gets a bucket of balls and a tee, hits all the balls off of the tee, goes and picks up the balls in the bucket, and comes back and does it all over again and again and again!! I sure wish I would have had that focus and work ethic when I was young!! She also loves to sing and watch movies! She loves any movie that has lots of singing and dancing, her favorite movies are Annie, Sound of Music, and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (gotta love the old movies)!! Well I guess that is enough of an update! I will just have to do a better job posting every week!!

Okay! I am a horrible blogger!! I will be completely honest and admit why I am so bad!! I look at everyone else's blog and they are so awesome!! All of my cousin's and friend's blogs are amazing and I cant even figure out how to put music on mine! haha!! I am so DUMB!! So my excuse is that I am intimidated!! haha!! Well either way, HERE I AM!! Here is our new addition that we have been waiting FOREVER to arrive!! (well I feel like forever maybe because I hate being pregnant and I did GO OVER my due date, ugh!) Well, he had to be forced out on 9/9/09!! He was 7lb 11oz and 21in long!! He is so sweet!! He is such a snuggle bug! I am taking internet classes this semester to finish up and I sit on the couch all day and just hold him and do my homework!! I love it, and he definately loves it too!! We joke that that he only makes a noise when someone messes with him because he does not mess with anyone else! He is just so laid back and sweet!

I am so sorry that I have not updated this every week like I had hoped too. I am so overwhelmed with 22hrs of school, a full-time job, a part-time job, being a wife, and last but not least being a mom! Softball season is over the 2nd week of May so be expecting all of my updates and lots of fun pictures then. I promise I will make it up to each and everyone of you! Thanks to everyone that has visited our blog and also thanks to all of the families with blogs that help us stay updated with your family. It sure is a joy to have such wonderful family and friends!! We love each and everyone of you!!

1 month to go til Addalyn is allowed to go to nursery full-time so we have been introducing her little by little! Today they took the kids outside for a change of scenery and right out the door Addalyn fell and got a "boo-boo"! She fussed a little but was very TUFF, until we showed Dad then she had to tell him ALL ABOUT IT! Of course!!!

The best part is; this was the first thing she did when she woke up in the morning! Smart little bugger knew right were to put it! Another funny thing she has learned from watching carefully is when she is in the bath tub she will prop her leg on the side and wash her legs, just like mom does when she shaves her legs. She is so SMART!
